  1. I’m so excited to have found your research. John Willis Jr. the immigrant from Wantage was my fifth great grandfather.

My branch of the family moved to Missouri in the 1800s and had a farm that stayed in the family until I was in high school !

I’ve heard family stories and knew we hailed from England and Maryland but to have absolute proof is awesome.
After losing my father and both sisters I became engrossed into finding out who I was .
Thank you for such a gift.

  2. I’m sorry I forgot to mention
    my father was
Forrest Lee Willis Jr . -Mo.

My grandfather Forrest Lee Willis Sr. – Mo. ( My great grandmother was Susan Vance Eppes from South Carolina and quite a Confederate supporter. She lost a brother in the Battle of the wilderness, hence naming her son after the two Confederate generals Forrest and Lee )

My great grandfather was Augustus Willis nicknamed
” Colonel” Willis , and his father John was born in Maryland. That’s about as much information as I have. I did submit my DNA and found my Maryland family thanks to you .
    Again, I thank you!

    Respectfully,
    Cindy Willis Goodwin

      1. Cindy,

Thanks for your comments. I have sent a separate email to you. Maybe we can share some information off-line to help link your family into this group.

        Best regards

        Gary
